Kinley Rinzin Thinley

Legal Representative

Throughout my life, I have been deeply blessed. I come from a humble background, and being born in Bhutan has afforded me the rare privilege of thirteen years of free education. I was further fortunate to gain admission to Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, the most prestigious law institution in the country. Wherever I go, I am often recognised not so much for who I am as an individual, but for the institution I represent. I have yet to do anything extraordinary to establish a name of my own; rather, the respect I receive is a reflection of the education and values instilled in me by JSW School of Law.

For this, I carry deep gratitude, for the thirteen years of general education and the five years of legal education that were freely and generously given to me. With such privilege comes an equally profound sense of responsibility. I feel a strong and enduring commitment to serve my country with the knowledge, skills, and values I have been fortunate to acquire. In this spirit, my work with the Loden Foundation as a legal representative is one way in which I seek to serve my country, in my own small but sincere way.

Tenzin Jambay Wangchuk

Communications Officer

Tenzin Jambay Wangchuk writes with the conviction of someone who is still becoming. Though he dreams of one day earning the title of ‘writer’, he carries it with humility for now – aspirational, not yet deserved. He writes not to be known, but to be felt. The impetuses behind his work are not abstract – they are living, breathing presences: The warm, resilient tales of his grandparents – stories of trade, travel, and love that unfolded beside his grandfather after school; His aunt, who first opened the door to the wonders of Enid Blyton and Charles Dickens, taught him that books are not tools but portals; His sister, ever vigilant, walks behind him, reminding him each day to strive for better, for someone is always observing his looming back. These moments planted the seeds of narrative in him long before he understood what it meant to write. At present, Tenzin perhaps lives in Thimphu. Or perhaps only in the pages.
