Karma Deki completed higher secondary school in 1999. I obtained a Diploma in Desktop Management with Basic Accounting (Tally 5.4) from 2003 to 2004. Before joining the ECCD field, I worked in the Census and Housing Department and the private sector (KGHPCL). I have 13 years of experience as an ECCD facilitator.
In 2012, I received basic training. In 2013, I worked on ECCD C4D materials for the parenting program and developed the English curriculum for ECCD. I took a Basic Refresh Course in 2014, followed by Early Literacy Maths (ELM) training in 2015 and a refresher course in ELM in 2016. In 2016, I also participated in Pair Sharing Training. I refreshed my ELM skills again in 2017.
In 2018, I attended the ECCD Conference and contributed to the rollout of the parenting program. I also participated in the ECCD Fair in Mongar in 2018. From 2019 to 2020, I underwent training on the Four Pillars of Wall and Fund Raising. I completed Damtsi Activity Guide Training in 2022 and received training in Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities the same year.
