The formative years, particularly the first six of a child’s life, are decisive in shaping cognitive, emotional, and social development. Investment in early childhood education is therefore indispensable, ensuring that future generations are equipped to become responsible, capable, and accomplished adults. In response to the earnest appeals of local communities, Loden inaugurated its preschool initiative in 2008. Since its inception, the initiative has led to the establishment of five Early Learning Centres dedicated to nurturing children between the ages of three and five. Loden has since transferred two of these centres to the Royal Government, ensuring their long-term sustainability within the public education system. Today, the Foundation continues to operate three free Early Learning Centres across central, eastern, and southern Bhutan, providing young learners with a supportive environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
