Kezang lost her mother when she was only six years old and her father passed away when she was in 8th grade. She was able to complete her high school with the help of government scholarships. Kezang was able get enrolled in the Royal University of Bhutan under the self finance category however she had no source of fund to pay off her tuition. Today, she is a Loden Scholar.
