Chado Wangmo, from Jala, Wangdue Phodrang, is an aspiring medical student and a graduate of Ugyen Academy, where she was awarded an academic scholarship. Raised by her single mother and grandmother, Chado is one of five siblings. Her mother, a school launderer, struggles to meet the family’s financial needs. Scoring 82.75% in Class 12, Chado earned a partial scholarship to pursue MBBS. With the support of the Loden Scholarship, she will now study MBBS at Peradeniya University, Sri Lanka, fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor.
