About Loden Post School Scholarship

The Loden Post School Scholarship Scheme is a core initiative of the Loden Foundation designed to support academically promising and financially disadvantaged Bhutanese students in pursuing higher education. Since its inception, the scheme has played a vital role in promoting equitable access to quality education, empowering young individuals to become agents of positive change in their communities.

Since its establishment, the scheme has supported over 98 scholars from across Bhutan, enabling them to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to their families, communities, and the nation. This scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also connects you to a growing network of Loden scholars who support and inspire one another.

Please read this announcement carefully. All necessary details are mentioned here. Applicants with incomplete documents will be automatically disqualified.

We are now accepting applications for the Loden Post-School Scholarship 2025! You can apply for one of the three following types of scholarships:

  • Loden-RTC scholarship to pursue an undergraduate degree at Royal Thimphu College
  • Loden General Scholarship for undergraduate courses within or outside Bhutan
  • Loden Apprenticeship Programme for Diploma and Certificate courses

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

  1. Filled out online scholarship application form
  2. A cover letter written by the student explaining how receiving the scholarship would alleviate their financial burdens and help them achieve their educational goals and career aspirations.
  3. The candidates must submit their Class 12 academic transcript 
  4. The candidate must submit proof of application to a college/university of their choice (Admission/Acceptance letter from the College/University)
  5. Income Sheet/Payslip of guardian/parents
  6. Relevant documents to validate your achievements (Ex, Certificates in leadership, sports, academic excellence, volunteerism, social service, cultural activities, etc).
  7. Certificates acquired in class 10 or later will be accepted.

Note: Applicants with incomplete documents will be automatically disqualified

Scholarship scheme amounts to Nu.300,000 per year, and any extra expenditure will have to be borne by the applicant. Please note that Loden only provides financial support – students must secure college admission before applying.

APPLICATION PROCESS: Applications will be accepted ONLY via the GOOGLE FORM, and all inquiries must be made online via email or phone.

  1. Combine all your documents into ONE single PDF (if you are not sure how to do this, you may use a free online service such as https://combinepdf.com/ or https://www.ilovepdf.com to combine your documents into one PDF file)
  2. Please ensure that all scanned or digital documents are clear, legible, and properly oriented. Illegible or poorly scanned documents may lead to disqualification.
  3. Submit your applications in a single PDF file via the Google Form. 
  4. Applications in hard copy format delivered in-person or by other means shall not be accepted.

DEADLINE:

The last date to receive the application for the Loden Youth Scholarship Programme is 5:00 PM, June 2nd, 2025. Applications submitted after 5 PM will not be accepted.
