As the Founder and Operations Manager of Miniature Bhutan, Sonam specializes in integrating cultural storytelling into handcrafted jewelry and miniature artworks.

Widely recognized as Bhutan’s first miniature artist, Sonam has dedicated their artistic journey to preserving Bhutanese culture through intricate, detail-oriented creations. Their work blends traditional techniques with contemporary creativity, offering a unique perspective on Bhutan’s rich heritage.

Over the years, Sonam has held leadership roles in various national projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Thimphu Thromde, and the UNDP, particularly in the areas of clean energy and waste management. Their work reflects a strong commitment to empowering youth, women, and artisans through sustainable practices and creative engagement.

Currently, Sonam is expanding into the field of gold jewelry, building on four years of research and preparing for advanced training in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Beyond their craft, He also actively organizes awareness campaigns and art exhibitions aimed at promoting Bhutanese products and fostering community dialogue through art.
