Zurphey Organic Vegetable Farm is a proposed commercial farming enterprise located in Zurphey village under Trong Gewog, Zhemgang Dzongkhag. Owned and managed by Sherub Wangmo, an experienced farmer with years of expertise in vegetable cultivation and marketing, the farm currently operates on 2–3 acres and supplies fresh produce to schools, hospitals, shops, and local communities.

The project seeks to expand cultivation to 5 acres and establish a structured, market-oriented organic farming business capable of year-round supply. Key crops include chili, tomato, leafy greens, pumpkin, and beans — selected for their nutritional value, climate suitability, and strong local demand. Expansion will be supported by greenhouse facilities, improved irrigation systems, and modern farm management practices, enabling higher productivity and off-season production.

Beyond profitability, the farm will create seasonal employment for 20–30 workers, promote organic practices, reduce reliance on imports, and contribute to food security and nutrition in the region. By aligning with Bhutan’s national goals of food self-sufficiency and sustainable agriculture, Zurphey Organic Vegetable Farm is poised to become a model enterprise for commercial organic production in Zhemgang.
