Call for Professional Book Editor: “The Story of Loden”

The Loden Foundation is seeking a professional book editor to support the creation of The Story of Loden – a commemorative publication observing our 25-year journey in promoting education, entrepreneurship, and cultural heritage in Bhutan. This book will capture human-interest stories, institutional milestones, and the impact of our programs on communities across the country.

About the Book: The Story of Loden

The Story of Loden traces over 25 years of the Loden Foundation’s journey in Bhutan, from its early childhood sponsorship programme to fostering education, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation across the country. The book captures human-interest stories, institutional milestones, and the transformative impact of Loden’s initiatives on communities nationwide.

Through initiatives such as preschools in remote communities, scholarships for meritorious students, Bhutan Dialogues, social entrepreneurship programmes, and extensive cultural preservation efforts, the foundation has worked to bridge Bhutan’s rich heritage with the opportunities and challenges of a rapidly changing world.

The book also reflects the broader social, economic, and cultural shifts in Bhutan, highlighting stories of individuals whose lives have been touched by education, entrepreneurship, and cultural heritage programmes. At its heart, The Story of Loden is about the foundation’s vision to foster an enlightened, happy, and sustainable society, blending tradition with innovation and mindful development.
