Sonam Yuden is the founder of Soyalla, a social enterprise launched in 2022 to tackle Bhutan’s nutritional and economic challenges through sustainable and community driven solutions. A graduate in Economics and Population Studies from Sherubtse College, Sonam brings a deep commitment to inclusive development and social impact. Through Soyalla, she has introduced an innovative model that empowers rural farmers while making nutritious, chemical free soy products accessible and affordable for all. Under her leadership, the enterprise has expanded to source soybeans from six dzongkhags and now produces a range of products including flavored soy milks, fresh and frozen tofu, and soy sprinkles. Sonam's vision is rooted in equity, nutrition, and local empowerment creating opportunities for marginalized groups and promoting food security across Bhutan.
