Loden Marks 26 Years of Fostering Happiness

On 24 May 2025, the Loden Foundation observed its 26th Foundation Day at the NRDCL Conference Hall. What unfolded was more than a formal event; it was a heartfelt gathering of friends, partners, and well-wishers who have walked alongside Loden through the years.

The day began with traditional prayers and the offering of butter lamps, setting a tone of reflection and gratitude. Our Executive Director welcomed the gathering, followed by the launch of the Loden Losar Report, which highlights the foundation’s activities, impact, and lessons from the past year.

One of the highlights of the day was the launch of Loden Tewa, our new Centre for Social Ventures. Tewa marks an exciting new chapter in our efforts to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bhutan.

We were also honoured to recognise Loden Scholar Dhanjit Tamang for his achievements. More than his academic success, it was the humility and honesty with which he shared his journey that moved the audience. His words reminded us that every scholarship carries a story of perseverance, hope, and quiet strength.

Lekdars were offered to our graduating scholars and the new cohort of Loden Entrepreneurs. These gestures of encouragement mark the beginning of new chapters in their personal and professional journeys. The Founder of Loden Foundation then offered reflections that brought the journey full circle, reminding us how far we have come since our humble beginnings in 1999.

The day concluded with a warm lunch and unhurried conversations among guests. These meaningful exchanges continue to inspire our work and strengthen the bonds within our community.

As we look ahead, we carry with us a renewed sense of purpose and deep gratitude for all who continue to believe in our mission. Thank you for being part of our journey.
